Spring has sprung!

Last week was spring break and spring forward...
I mostly studied.
A few happenings included...

A way fun wedding...

 And since there was love...there was also the Bachelor finale. 

Glad Mel and Ashley could come over for some fun!

Oscar Night!

Oscar night was a blur of excitement! Such a fun night, but next year, I'm taking Monday off.  I'm getting too old for the late nights :)
Since it was so busy, I only got one pic and stole an instagram from Mel.

The photo opportunity was a new touch this year...as were the boxes of movie candy.
Notice the ticket tray...oh, and Will and Kate :)

Star-studded evening, I tell you!

This past weekend...recovering from the previous weekend, studying and dinner with friends..so besides introducing Jimmy to the wonders of sushi...nothing new to report.

Stacy's baby shower: Woodland Friends

Last weekend was Stacy's baby shower and Oscar weekend.  It all went by in a flash and so did this last week.  I had a great time at the shower and spending time with Stac.

It was such a treat to spend the weekend with some of my favorite people!

Planning an Oscar Party?

Normally I don't post too much about specific ways to decorate for your Oscar party, because...
1) I'm not Pinterest
2) I shop at Party City...most all of my Oscar treasures can be purchased year round in their "Hollywood" Section.  I do buy a new red carpet from them almost every year, and I recommend you do the same.
Even if you're not throwing a party...a red carpet down your front walk makes you feel oh so special!

However, I have a tip!!!

If you are hosting a party, run to Target and pick up this candy dish in the Valentine's CLEARANCE section! 50% off...it's $2.50!

It's going to be perfect to store my trophies in (Hershey's kisses) before they are distributed to the winner of each category.  (Most Hershey's kisses at the end of the night wins a prize!)

So, there you have it!  A great addition to your party!

LOVE-ly Long Weekend

If the weekend started on Thursday and ended on Monday...I have plenty to share!

Thursday, I was treated to roses at work and a lobster dinner.  

 Ooh-la-la...so fancy and so sweet!

Friday night, we celebrated Mike's Bday.

Mini-High School Reunion (the girls were on the other side of the table). 

Saturday was breakfast in Dallas with Mel and then a double date that night!

Oh, and there was some studying too...

Sunday, besides the usual church, we squeezed in Zero Dark Thirty before next week's AWARDS!

LOVED it!!! She's my vote for Best Actress for sure!


Finally, Monday was a personal day from work for a meeting with a professor...and a dentist appointment.  There might have also been some prepping for two very important parties next weekend. 
1) Stacy's baby shower :)
2) Oscar Night!!!

Not a bad way to spend a few days!
