Saturdays Needed!!!

This morning I had to go to work. I sleepily got up, got dressed and headed in around 8:30. After I got to work, I checked the time...

Seriously! I put on 2 watches and didn't even notice! I clearly needed a break from work!!! (And more sleep!)

My Saturday then took a turn for the better with lunch and wandering in the sunshine with Mel and Linds...

Of course, I was right on time!!! And the time of friendship and warm weather was a much better use of a Saturday than more work!!!

I promise I'm way too old to be flirting on FB chat...but I have been known (only to myself) to possibly employ this technique over text messages...

Christmas in January

Luke and I decided to do something fun for Christmas instead of exchanging gifts. The holidays were so busy with the ALL the parties that we ended up postponing our "experience" until January...which I found delightful since it just meant that there was something fun to still anticipate!

Wolfgang Puck recently (as in the last couple of years) renovated and established a restaurant at Reunion Tower in Dallas. The restaurant is called Five Sixty (it's high in the air) and is full of yummy delicacies. SO, a couple of weekends ago, Luke and I got dressed up and went out!!!


Bad news...it got cloudy so the view wasn't the MOST spectacular. Good news...it was delicious, we had such a great waiter, and we had a wonderful time! Below are some pics from the evening!

Oscar Season...

Oscar Season is almost upon us!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 27th!

Also important...the nominations come out on January 25th! The Golden Globes are this Sunday, so we'll get some early hints as to what movies to start watching!

Unfortunately I haven't seen (any of) the contenders...So I've got some major catching up to do!

I just downloaded the Oscar App for my iPhone last night to keep up with all the nominees once they are announced.

Love to watch as many of the nominated movies before my annual Oscar Party!!!

Last year...I threw down the gauntlet...

...I must make mention of the real reason I have the Oscar Party...
As the guests arrive, they vote for who they think will win each category. The winner of the most categories throughout the night wins a prize.
So everyone marks there ballots...
And then, I sweep the voting!
That's right...I call all of my friends over and kick their asses at Oscar knowledge!
It's my sport (well, that and beer pong, as Dedra pointed out)!!!
And oh, it feels so good to win!
Of course, I make myself ineligible to win the prize...
But in my head...I know!
I'm the smartest at voting for the Academy Awards!
So, next year, peeps...Bring it!!!

Big Weekend!!!

Last weekend Luke's Aggies played in the Cotton Bowl.

We were there for all the fun...


The Rangerettes performed...


The Aggie Band impressed everyone...


Little Big Town sang the National Anthem...

And of course the game was a lot of fun! Besides the score :(

Oh, and did I mention I loved wearing my cute new A&M shirt?!?!

I even slept in it!
